Big Weekend for Oldtime Music in the Hudson Valley!!

Despite what the weather might incline you to believe, spring is here so it must be time for the Hudson Valley Draft Horse Assn. Plow Day. The Shoes are getting back to it tomorrow, Saturday April 25th at Saunderskill Farm in Accord, NY. Our 5th year at this fun and educational event, lots of animals (BIG animals), BBQ, wagon rides, and, of course, live music 11:30-4. The Shoes will be sharing the stage with the Roadhouse Revival Band in the tent, so bring your dancing shoes.

But beyond that there are at least four other Old Time Music happenings this weekend hereabouts, Saturday night it's a tough choice between The Downhill Strugglers with John Cohen in an intimate house concert setting in Hopewell Junction and Red Dog Run at the Rosendale Cafe.

Sunday brings more difficult choices but you can't really lose at either of these events. In Albany, it's oldtime music workshops and jamming with Carl Jones and Erynn Marshall. And in Beacon Bruce Molsky will be at The Towne Crier.

This is one of those times when it would be nice to be able to be in a couple of places at once! But like I said, you really can't lose at any of these. We're surely blessed to have this much music happening around here! Hope to see you at at least one of these events!
