It would be our pleasure to provide old-time southern music for your event. We can provide appropriate music for any and all portions of your wedding or other event: from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception - and a real country square dance is the perfect way to bring everyone together to celebrate the joyous occasion.  Of course, a summer barbeque wouldn't be complete without live southern music!

Weddings

We booked the Shoe String Band to play our wedding, and we could not have been more pleased.  A perfect sound for celebration and dancing that even had the old folks hopping about.  They played a smooth and serene song for the ceremony that helped calm our nerves and kicked it up for a lively time for square dancing.  Many thanks to them for all the fun and fond memories.

On behalf of the Woodstock Land Conservancy and everyone who attended Saturday's event at the Longyear Farm, a huge thank you to your band for making the ambiance just perfect.  Great weather, peeps and food go a long way, but great music adds the final perfect touch, taking the event from great to awesome. Thank you again for playing on Saturday. We had a great festival, and your music added a lot to the lively farm atmosphere. I hope you all enjoyed the day as much as the attendees enjoyed listening to you.

The Shoe String Band is great!  Their music is inspiring - from the first note to the last, the dance floor is filled.  The band is easy to work with, always on time and is a first-class operation.
