As suggested by any number of oldtime songs, like the one in the title of this post, hard cider and oldtime music make a fine pairing.
We had a swell time recently sipping a little cider and playing tunes for the folks at the grand opening of the Bad Seed Cider Tasting Room in Highland, NY. Albert and Devin and the crew are in full on production mode now so it's a good time to get down there, take a tour to see how they do it and try a glass or two.
Hudson Valley Cider Week is coming up next month and The Shoes will be heading down to Tuthilltown on Nov. 14th to help kick things off and get folks in the right frame of mind to enjoy a little cider. But as the cider revival is in full swing throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond (NYC and The Finger Lakes) there's no reason to wait until then to have some!
